What
is eZpZemail?
eZpZemail is a fully
featured email system that is designed for children
as soon as they are able to use the Internet. It is
designed to be fun, whilst being totally safe for the
child to use. We take child safety very seriously,
and take every step to ensure your child's privacy
and security.
How does eZpZemail
work?
Just like the real
world, you can decide who can contact your children
and who can't. You decide who goes into your child’s
approved sender list in their address book. If anyone
outside that list tries to contact your child, you
will be automatically alerted by Parental Alert email
at your registered email address. You then login to
eZpZemail and check the source and content of the email
before your child ever sees it. You then decide whether
to delete the message as spam, in which case your child
will never see it. Or, you can add that sender to your
child’s approved sender list in their address
book, at which point your child will get to see the
email.
What happens if
I add a sender to my child’s approved sender
list?
You should only do
this if you trust the sender fully as your child will
receive all future emails from them. Although they
are trusted senders, messages with attachments will
be held in a pending folder for your approval.
How is my child
protected from unsolicited email?
With eZpZemail, there
are three defenses against unsolicited email.
1) Every incoming email goes through our spam filter first.
This will eliminate most inappropriate emails to your child.
2) Any email that makes it through our spam filter is then
checked against your child's safe sender list. If the sender
is not on the safe sender list, you will receive a Parental
Alert email to your registered email address. You then decide
whether to delete the message as inappropriate, or whether
to add that sender to your child’s approved sender list
in their address book.
3) Any email with an attachment from senders on the safe sender
list is treated as potentially inappropriate, and you will
receive a Parental Alert email to your registered email address.
You can then look at the attachment and chose whether to delete
it as spam, or allow it through for your child to see.
Can
I manage several child email accounts from one login?
Yes you can. This
has a number of benefits, not least that you can add
addresses to the global safe list, so that all children
can receive messages from a sender, such as a grand
parent without you having to add the same address to
each child's safe list individually.
Is my child protected
from spam?
With
eZpZemail, there are two defences against spam.
1) Every incoming email goes through our spam filter first.
This will eliminate most spam emails to your child.
2) Any email that makes it through our spam filter is then
checked against your child's safe sender list. If the sender
is not on the safe sender list, then you will receive a Parental
Alert email to your registered email address. You then decide
whether to delete the message as spam, or whether to add that
sender to your child’s approved sender list in their
address book. This manual intervention ensures that your child
is 100% safe from spam email.
How can I fully
protect my child from spam and inappropriate content?
In order to fully
protect your child you need to also subscribe to our
approved website content blocker Net Nanny. Load this
software on the computer that your children use. This
will block all inappropriate websites as well as free
email sites. When used in conjunction with eZpZemail,
your child will not be able to set up free email accounts
that you won’t be able to control. For further
information, please click the Net Nanny banner on the
left hand side of our home page.
How
Many eMail addresses do I get?
You will
be able to create up to 5 email accounts for your children.
How much will a
subscription cost?
There are several
subscription levels available, monthly, quarterly and
yearly as follows
Remember
you can cancel at any time and if you wish to cancel
within 30 days, we will refund your money in full.
As my child gets
older, can I give them more privacy?
Yes, you may give
your child more privacy by opting out of the privacy
features that eZpZemail offers. eZpZemail allows your
teenager to migrate to a fully private email account
at an appropriate age.
Why should I pay
when there are free email sites like Hotmail and Yahoo?
By paying for this
service, the eZpZemail team will never be under pressure
to advertise or market products to your children. Other "free" email
providers have to cover their costs, and this is done
through advertising and marketing. Privacy, safety
and security are our watchwords and by making a reasonable
charge, we will never compromise our promise to provide
safe, secure email.
Why
are free email sites inappropriate?
If you allow your
child access to a free webmail page, there is nothing
to stop them setting up their own account without you
knowing. You will have no control over the types of
communication that your child will receive. From our
own experience free email sites will allow your children
to be sent inappropriate spam from inappropriate adult
websites.
How can we get schools
involved?
Ask if your child's
school is a member of our affiliate program. If not,
email your child's school website address to Mark
Palmer and we'll take it from there.
